You should only use the portable install sets for platforms where we do not have a specific install set. Platform-specific install/upgrade sets are smaller than the portable install sets because they only contain runtimes for a single platform. You should always use a platform-specific install set if possible. The portable install sets are nearly double the size because they have runtimes for each platform.
Install Sets
- Install - Windows x64 Install set for Windows 64 bit and Azure App Service.
- Install - Linux ARM64 Install set for Linux on ARM64 platforms.
- Install - Linux x64 Install set for Linux on x64 platforms.
- Install - Portable Install set for all platforms. Use this install set for other platforms which support .NET Core, but which don't have a specific install set.
Upgrade Sets
- Upgrade - Windows x64 Upgrade set for Windows 64 bit and Azure App Service.
- Upgrade - Linux ARM64 Upgrade set for Linux on ARM64 platforms.
- Upgrade - Linux x64 Upgrade set for Linux on x64 platforms.
- Upgrade - Portable Upgrade set for other platforms which support .NET Core 8, but which don't have a specific upgrade set.
Developer Tools and Release Notes
- Nucleus Developer Tools Visual Studio 2022 Templates, code analyzers, code fix providers and MSBuild scripts for developers of Nucleus extensions. Un-zip and double-click the vsix file to install.
- Release Notes Cumulative release notes for all versions.
Upgrade sets are the same as install sets, but do not include databaseSettings.json or hosting.json files, to avoid overwriting any changes that you have made.
